GRATITUDE THROUGH ZENTANGLE

Qingming Day (Tomb Sweeping Day) is a day when people return home to pay tribute to the dead, and also a time of thanksgiving.
Teacher Wan-Li accompanies the aboriginal youth in the Zentangle course during this semester's after-class study sponsored by The Rerum Novarum Center. Through Zentangle the students learn to express their gratitude to their friends and relatives, as well as the family of the deceased.
"Heavenly Mother! Thank you for raising me, although we often yell at you,but we still love you very much. There is sadness in our hearts because we want to see you,
but there is no way… " Junior High School student Xiao-Mi used the simplest words
to describe his deepest feelings of gratitude and longing for her mother....
Before Zentangle painting, Wanli always reminds and guides the youth to have a grateful heart, to thank heaven and earth for all the things that last.
Through the practice of gratitude and meditation in Zentangle painting, the aboriginal youth can develop a sense of thankfulness and at the same time, they can better concentrate in their studies.

The Rerum Novarum Center is a social service organization dedicated to caring for the disadvantaged in the workplace. We promote the after-school care of tribal and Zhudong aboriginal youth, the whole-person development, strengthen ethnic identity,

as well as happy learning. And more importantly, we use love to fill the broken hearts and families, so that their lives can turn around, creating a promising future.
